Trump says a coronavirus vaccine would be free to those in need
On Tuesday, Florida tallied a record-high total of 2,783 new coronavirus cases, according to data tracked by The Washington Post. Just a week ago, the state saw a single-day total of 1,096 new cases. Coronavirus-related deaths have also spiked from 7 to 55 in the same week.
Top Trump administration officials said that a vaccine for Covid-19 would be free for vulnerable Americans who cannot afford it by the end of the year as a result of a robust economic recovery; however, public health experts like Anthony S. Fauci, the nation’s top infectious disease official, have said there is no guarantee that there will be a working vaccine by the end of 2020.
